Restored 1890 building where Coca-ColaŽ was first bottled anywhere in the world in1894. Museum contains reproduction bottling works, Coca-ColaŽmemorabilia,1900 soda fountain and restored 1890 candy store. The Jacqueline House African American Museum is Vicksburg's only museum for the exclusive study of history and culture of people of African descent in the Vicksburg-Warren County area. The collection of over20,000 items has material in all formats: photographs, books, manuscripts, music, posters, newspapers, and rare ephemera. In addition, the collection houses selected artifacts, including items dating back to the slave period. Reservations required.

The Mississippi Arts Center is located at 201 E. Pascagoula Street in downtown Jackson, Mississippi. From Interstate 55, take the Pearl Street Exit (Exit 96A) into downtown Jackson. Turn left at Lamar Street. The Museum is located two blocks south at the northeast corner of Lamar and Pascagoula Streets. Vicksburg's most historic building, it was constructed by slaves in 1858, has hosted such great Americans as Jefferson Davis, Theodore Roosevelt, John Breckinridge, Booker T. Washington, William McKinley and U.S. Grant. Here the U.S. flag was raised and the Confederate lowered on July 4, 1863. Artifacts help tell Vicksburg's story in the National Historic Landmark structure, which also has a gift shop. Self guided tour. Handicapped Access.

The Southern Cultural Heritage Complex is an affiliate of the Mississippi Museum of Art. This cultural center tells the story of the Sisters of Mercy, who for 132 years educated children and nursed the sick at Saint Francis Xavier Academy and Convent. Tours showcase: the Cobb House (circa 1830), the original school and hospital barracks during the Civil War; the Gothic Revival Convent (1868); the Italianate Auditorium (1885);and the 1937 Academy. National Register of Historic Places, Mississippi Landmark. Call for information about cultural programming, events and private rental.

Houses the Gray & Blue Naval Society, collection of models and the film presentation of the "Vanishing Glory". Features the World's largest collection of WBTS ship models, the only diorama of the Siege of Vicksburg, the Vicksburg Story as told by the civilians and soldiers, a collection of riverboat models and naval vessels with Mississippi names. Tour begins at the visitors center, where life sized exhibits and artifacts from the Siege of Vicksburg are on display. The museum includes a gift shop and 4 rooms of displays housed in an 1849 building. It has1000+ dolls, Mid-1800 China Heads, late1800's French and German dolls, 1900 compos, Madame Alexanders, contemporary dolls dating from the 1940's to the present and accessories. Boys' toys include pedal cars, trucks, trains, boats, guns, soldiers, planes, cars, construction equipment and more. Also includes hobby horses, rocking horses, doll carriages, doll houses and displays. Handicapped Access.
